Komiti helps Australian small businesses get properly set up, generate the WHS documents a job site needs, and draft compliant minutes for committee meetings — grounded in real ATO, ASIC and WHS sources, not guesswork. What Komiti won't do is pretend to be your accountant or your lawyer: every answer tells you plainly when it's time to bring one in.

Why this exists

Compliance admin is a genuine source of stress for small business owners, not just an inconvenience — recent Australian surveys have found nearly a third of small business owners have considered giving up the business entirely because of it, and more than four in ten report high stress directly tied to regulation and paperwork. Most of that stress comes from not knowing what's actually required, not from the requirements themselves being unreasonable.

Komiti exists to remove the not-knowing part. It explains what's actually needed in plain English, organises the documents and dates that come out of it, and tells you clearly the moment something needs an accountant's or a lawyer's judgement instead of a checklist. It doesn't try to replace either one — it makes the conversation you eventually have with them shorter and cheaper, because you're already organised.

How we handle the legal and tax side

Common questions

Is this instead of an accountant or a lawyer?
No. Komiti gets you organised and answers general questions — it explicitly stops short of anything that counts as personal tax, legal or financial advice, and tells you when that's what you actually need. Think of it as making sure the conversation with your accountant or lawyer, when you have it, is quick and cheap instead of a fishing expedition.
What do I record with, for minutes or a SWMS video?
The camera or voice app already on your phone — Voice Memos or Google Recorder for audio, the regular camera app for video. Both are free and fine for this. No app to download.
Where do I upload?
At komiti.ai/upload, from your phone or laptop. Drag a file in or pick it from your files. Works on iPhone Safari, Android Chrome, Mac and Windows — encrypted on the way up and while we hold it.
What happens to my files afterward?
Kept encrypted for 30 days in case you need a re-run or an audit trail, then deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete sooner or hold longer if your own obligations need that.
What if a draft has errors?
Assume it will, at least small ones. That's why everything is watermarked AI-assisted draft, verify before finalising. You check it, fix anything that's off, then approve and sign. That check isn't optional — it's the reason we can hand you a draft in the first place.
